DoorDash Order Together Marketing Campaign
Rebranding DoorDash's DoubleDash feature
Year :
2025
Industry :
Tech
Client :
DoorDash
Project Duration :
3 weeks

The Problem :
How can we increase awareness to the DoubleDash ordering feature? This is the feature in the app that allow customer to order from multiple stores using a single order.

The Challenge :
One of the biggest hurdles that comes with promoting this feature is that most customers who use the app will usually order just enough food for themselves. This means that the multi-store ordering feature rarely gets any attention.
Now Imagine you and your friends are having Thanksgiving. Everyone will have different dietary preferences and frankly you probably do not have the energy to prepare all that food. What if I tell you that you and your friends can just make a list of food they want and order together, using DoorDash's DoubleDash feature.

The Approach :
The idea is to use the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas to encourage user to order from multiple-stores to cater for their gathering. We decided on this timeline dude to the fact that Thanksgiving and Christmas are the holidays where families tend to gather. In between those two holidays we also have the MLB World Series where we can expect a spike in delivery orders as fan gather to watch their favourite teams win.
The Solution :
We wanted to use the idea of double, so we devised some ads that are come in pairs. these ads would complete each other when place beside each other. A lot of the imagery we used focuses on people getting together. The secondary theme with there paired ads is the idea of old traditions vs new tradition. Pairing that concept with taglines like "For the ones who would rather not cook…" and "and the ones who always did." #OrderingTogether
